Wednesday 27 April 2011

Model and Businesswoman Victoria Shelley pre-releases her new book “It’s A Girl’s Game” on Amazon Kindle as a hot summer read.

As one who knows most of the footballers who have taken out super-injunctions to protect their privacy, nobody knows the world of footballers and WAGs better than Victoria Shelley. From her days as a football pin-up and the darling of the Chelsea fan club, to her career as a model and writer, she has been a part of the whirlwind of publicity surrounding the world of footballers and their antics on and off the pitch.

Her raunchy new book, “It's a Girl's Game” was inspired by her unique experiences behind the closed doors of the sport. It is being pre-released on Kindle and other eBook formats on Tuesday May 3rd in advance of the main book launch in early August. Victoria says, “The book is a magical mixture of memories and deep dark secrets mixed up with a handful of spice and schoolgirl dreams in a fantasy world that is not a million miles from reality.”

It’s a Girl’s Game is a great read for anyone who loves the world of glamour, gossip, naughtiness and scandal when mixed with the beer, singing and drunken larks surrounding the beautiful game of football.

Victoria Shelley has a background in the City in corporate finance and is a now a professional writer. It's A Girl's Game is her first novel, which was inspired by her love of football and the time she spent following the game.

In her early twenties she was often told she was photogenic, so Victoria tried her hand at photographic modelling. Being a naturally versatile model she became experienced in this area, working over the years on a wide variety of assignments from commercial to glamour.

Victoria has had a creative flair for writing since her teens. Having a diverse range of interests and a number of writing styles, she has been published in various capacities from business magazines, to football websites and beauty websites. As a result of living life to the full in her twenties and building valuable life experiences, in 2010 Victoria completed her first sexy humour fiction book, It’s A Girl’s Game.

“It’s a Girl’s Game” by Victoria Shelley is published by Filament Publishing Ltd on Amazon Kindle and all other eBook formats on May 3rd 2011 at £7.18 ISBN 978‐1‐905493‐74‐6

Extract from It's A Girl's Game

“Who’s up fer Sambucas?” hollered Becky, as the Naughty Nurses jostled their way through the entrance of the next bar.

“Ooh not for me, that stuff makes me puke!” said Sammi, screwing up her face at the thought of it.

“I’ll ‘ave one!” said Gemma. “Nik you’ll ‘ave one won’t ya?”

“Yeah, sod it!"

The girls stumbled into a group of lads who appeared very drunk and boisterous.

“Faaaaaarrrrkin ‘ell!” shouted one of them in a course cockney accent. “Check out the tits on that!”

He ogled at Becky’s chest for a few moments, then cast his eyes around checking out each of the other Naughty Nurses' cleavages. His eyes quickly came back to Becky. “Nice tits love.”

“Yeah, cheers mate!” she hollered back. “Gerrus a drink then!”

“Ain’t got no money love, sorry” he said, lurching towards her to get a closer look at her enormous bazookas. His eyes were out on stalks.

“All you girls look proper hot!” He gawped around the group again, swaying a little. A few of his mates had started talking to the Naughty Nurses and were already trying their luck.

“Looks like yer mates 'ave moved in” said Becky, leaning back a little. She noticed the lad had pretty offensive garlic breath.

“Where ya from love?” he asked, glancing back down at her bazookas.

“Leeds!”

Becky looked around for a way through to the bar whilst trying to avoid his stinky breath.

“Leeds? You don’t support Leeds do ya?” he asked, leaning towards her again, knocking her back with the odour of garlic. “They’re pretty sh*t these days int they!”

“I’m not into football mate” she bellowed. “The only time I’d be interested in football, is if David Beckham walked into the bar!”

She pushed the drunken boy out of her way as she stepped over his feet towards Gemma. She tapped the birthday girl on the shoulder.

“Goin’ to get Sambucas! Keep away from that muppet!” She pointed at the lad she’d just barged. “He bloody reeks of garlic!”
